Vendetta 19
In 1919 a war raged across Melbourne’s inner suburbs between a number of rivalling gangs, underworld figures and crime factions. The event came to be known as the Fitzroy Vendetta and it raged until the end of 1919 when only one person was left standing, cementing Squizzy Taylor as one of the most notorious Organized Crime and True Crime figures of all time.
On October 9, the pilot of a series about the 1919 Fitzroy Vendetta hits cinemas around Melbourne.
Vendetta 19 presents the moment when Squizzy Taylor stepped up to his fate in Pentridge and took on the infamous Crutchie Push.
Screenings are limited to select cinemas, with more information available at www.Vendetta19.com

VENUE SPOTLIGHT – Geelong Gaol Museum
As we head towards the screening of the Vendetta 19 pilot, we couldn’t think of a better location to screen it than the Geelong Gaol Museum! Not only for the fact that the pilot episode was filmed at the Geelong Gaol, giving our audience a chance to sit and watch it in the exact location where it was actually filmed, but to also give them the immersive experience of seeing it for the first time in an actual, in tact, operational Gaol from the 1900’s. We have been tremendously lucky to have the support of the Geelong Gaol, as a world class tourist attraction, and we can’t wait to see you all at the Geelong Gaol for the public screening premiere on 12 October!! VENDETTA 19 – THE FIRST SEEDS SOWN
In 2024 production began on the pilot of a new TV streaming series the depicts the full lead up to the 1919 Fitzroy Vendetta.
Moving through the late 1890s with the rise of push gangs, the rise of the opium dens and Chinese lotteries, the dominance of the police unit known as the terrible 10 in 1900, the female matrix moved in to the landscape of the criminal underworld by 1905, and then the ultimate bloodbath that led to only one person remaining alive and not in prison, Vendetta 19 presents the most incredible Australian true crime story of all time.
As the Vendetta raged across Melbourne’s inner suburbs until the end of 1919 leaving only Squizzy Taylor as the most notorious organized criminal and True Crime figure alongside the likes of Al Capone’s, Ned Kelly, and the Kray twins.
Vendetta 19 will drop in selected cinemas across Melbourne and Adelaide in October 2024. Please share to your networks and follow Vendetta 19 for updates
